Indians drop three-set match to Patriots

RICHLAND — Touchet dropped a Southeast 1B League volleyball match to Liberty Christian here Tuesday, 25-20, 25-5, 25-19.

CierraJo McKeown had four kills and four blocks for the Indians, Kristen Warner dropped in three aces and Kylie Maycumber had four digs.

“We struggle so much with consistency,” Indians coach April Miller said. “The girls played hot and cold. We are working hard on defense, but we are struggling to finish.

“We are young in the game this year with only one returning starter from last year and many first-time players,” she said of Touchet, which is 1-6 in SE1B play and 2-11 overall. “It’s been a building year. We’ve got some girls with heart. And we’re not done yet.”

The Indians play the Touchet Alumni at 6 p.m. Thursday.
