Harvest Carnival to celebrate Halloween

WALLA WALLA — The 11th annual Harvest Carnival, hosted by Blue Mountain Community Church, will be held Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 928 Sturm Ave.

There is no charge for admission or games, and children are encouraged to come in costume. Carnival-style games will be available for the children, including a fishing hole, ring toss, miniature golf, basketball toss and cake walk. The games will provide kids an opportunity to win wrapped candy and prizes. Kids will also be able to explore a maze, crawling through “the belly of the whale.”

In addition, prizes donated by Walla Walla merchants will be given away in free raffles throughout the evening.

Voluntary donations of canned and nonperishable food will be accepted at the door. This food will be donated to local area food banks. Food and beverages will be available for sale at the carnival with proceeds going to support local youth and scholarship efforts.
