Downtown Walla Walla will be filled with boos and ghouls Wednesday.

The annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat event will have the streets packed with costumed kids and adults as businesses hand out candy to the masses. Several thousand people are expected downtown for the event.

With that in mind, those parking along Main Street should not expect to move their vehicles during the event, 3-5 p.m.

Main Street from Palouse Street to Second Avenue will be closed to traffic during trick-or-treating. The Downtown Walla Walla Foundation will provide crossing guards to help families cross Second Avenue to get to the businesses on West Main Street. For more information, call 529-8755.

...and if downtown get's a little over-busy for you, trot down 1st avenue to our Harvest Carnival at First & Birch (First Presbyterian Church) for a fun time of carnival-style games, prizes, popcorn, candy, apples, photo "booth", puppet theater, and more!
