WALLA WALLA — It’s property tax time again.
Walla Walla County Treasurer Gordon Heimbigner is asking landowners to remember that property taxes are due Wednesday. Tax payments must be made at the Treasurer’s Office in the Walla Walla County Courthouse, 315 W. Main St., or postmarked by Oct. 31 to avoid being late.
Tax payments can also be deposited in the drop box behind the courthouse, at Baker Boyer Bank’s downtown office at 7 W. Main St. or at its College Place branch office, 630 S. College Ave.
People can also register to pay their taxes electronically via credit card or e-check by going to the Treasurer’s Office section of the Walla Walla County Web site or by calling the Treasurer’s Office at 524-2750.
April 30 or going on-line
Heimbigner said his office hopes to have a new multi-payment option plan ready for implementation by June. The option would allow property owners to authorize the Treasurer’s Office to automatically withdraw a monthly payment from their bank accounts to avoid having make an annual or bi-annual payment.
People who would like to be put on a sign-up list for the program should call the Treasurer’s Office at 5247-2750.
