TERO Estates will host a release party and pig roast in a weekend celebration at its esteemed Windrow Vineyard late this month.
The Milton-Freewater winery, which operates a tasting room in downtown Walla Walla, will open its estate vineyard Sept. 28-30.
Open to the public, the free event will feature the release of TERO’s 2009 cabernet franc, 2009 Herb’s Block merlot and 2009 Windrow, all made from grapes from the estate vineyard by winemaker Doug Roskelley.
Wines will be poured 10 a.m.-4 p.m. all three days at the winery, 52015 Seven Hills Road.
On Saturday Sept. 29, the winery will host a mid-day pig roast in the vineyard.
The wines will be poured additionally at TERO Estates’ tasting room at the Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center 10 a.m.-6 pm. Sept. 28 and 29, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 30.
A $5 tasting fee will be charged but is refundable with any purchase.
Along with the adjacent Seven Hills Vineyard, Windrow Vineyard is the oldest commercially planted vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley appellation.
