Bid Opening: Received bid for used mini-excavator from Western States Caterpillar for $79,022.72. Referred to county engineer for review.
Fairgrounds: Approved fairgrounds lease agreement with Northwest Boer Shows. Unanimous.
Road Vacation: Referred petition to vacate a portion of Cahill Road to county engineer for further analysis.
Permits: Approved right-of-way access permit for Columbia REA on Melcum Grade. Unanimous. Also approved right-of-way access permit for French on Bundy Hollow Road. Both unanimous.
Rural Arterial Program: Approved applications for rural arterial program projects on Whiskey Creek Road and Lower Hogeye Road. Unanimous.
Employee Benefits: Approved request to allow county employees who join wellness incentive program to receive two hours of time to obtain a wellness check from their doctors. Unanimous.
Public Works: Approved motion authorizing county engineer to apply for public works board energy and water efficiency loan. Funds will be used for remodel of youth building at the fairgrounds. Unanimous.
Emergency Management: Approved EMPG grant contract for $5,714. Unanimous.
Reports: heard reports on aging and long-term care, district court, courthouse lawn improvements and Blue Mountain Counseling.
Letter of Support: Approved request from Walla Walla County Conservation District for letter of support for Stiller Pond Project. Unanimous.
Executive Session: Entered into executive session to discuss a possible real estate acquisition.
Real Estate: Approved motion to authorized county engineer to make an offer on a parcel of land that will benefit the county. Unanimous.
