“Walla Walla Walks Against Drunk Driving” organizer Alvaro Lamprea walked with a group of other participants along Alder Street on Saturday morning during the inaugural event to promote awareness of the impacts from drunken driving. Lamprea was struck by a drunken driver when assisting another motorist on a highway and lost his left leg from the knee down. After years of recovery Lamprea now walks with a prosthetic leg and organized this event to help others.
