Waitsburg-Prescott rallies to defeat Rosalia in 5

WAITSBURG — Krystal Harris led the way here Wednesday as Waitsburg-Prescott came from behind to defeat Rosalia 15-25, 21-25, 25-20, 25-19, 15-11 in a girls non-league volleyball match.

Harris finished the match with 11 kills, 16 digs and 14 serving aces.

“We started out a little rough in the first set, gained some confidence in the second set and finally started playing as a team,” W-P coach Angie Potts said of her team’s strong comeback. “We still have a lot of room for growth, but I really liked what I saw.”

Rhiannon Chapman contributed eight kills, six digs and six aces to W-P’s effort. Enedina Fuentes put up 15 digs and had three aces, Samantha Fedderson added six kills and nine digs, Stacia Deal chipped in with seven digs and Jaidyn Brown led the team with 13 assists.

W-P’s record now stands at 1-1 going into tonight’s home match against Tri-Cities Prep. Varsity game time is 6 p.m.
