Walla Walla County

Jacob W. Staley, 29, 315 W. Main St., Burbank, was sentenced Sept. 17 on one count attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle. The court dismissed one other count. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $235.20 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee, 102 days in the county jail, credit for 102 days served. On Sept. 4 Staley pleaded guilty to wilfully failing to bring his motor vehicle to a stop and dove it in a reckless manner while attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle on or about May 23.

Johnny L. Peterson, 26, 228 Malcolm St., was sentenced Sept. 17 on one count harassment — domestic violence. The court dismissed one other count. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $62 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $100 biological fee and $100 domestic violence fine assessment fee, 43 months in the custody of the Department of Corrections, credit for 79 days served, 12 months community custody. On Sept. 12 Peterson pleaded guilty to threatening to kill a family member and by words and conduct placed that person in fear he would carry out the threat on or about June 30.

Travis G. Wolford, 47, 218 Warren St., Waitsburg, was sentenced Sept. 17 on one count violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. The court dismissed one other count. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $114.40 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, $500 drug enforcement fund, $100 crime lab and biological fee, 12 months community custody. On Aug. 20 Wolford pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing methamphetamine on or about June 13.

JUVENILE CASES

Antonio R. Lomeli, 14, 1356 Pleasant St., was sentenced Sept. 14 on one count disorderly conduct. The sentence included 15 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, 12 months community supervision, 20 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs. On Aug. 31 Lomeli pleaded guilty to using abusive language thereby intentionally creating a risk of assault on April 16.
