Wildhorse Resort and Casino and the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation will sponsor a “Quit Tobacco” session on Oct. 2, 4, 9, 11, 16 and 18, 5:30-7 p.m., in the McKay Room at Wildhorse Hotel. The free series of classes are open to the public and smokers and chew tobacco users are encouraged to attend.

Bob Clark will be facilitating the classes. Clark, a former smoker, is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice and is approved by the Oregon Quit Tobacco Line as a preferred provider of tobacco cessation. He is also a member of the Oregon Alliance Against Tobacco Use.

The series will feature a respiratory therapist to discuss the damage tobacco does to the body.
