DAYTON — The Dayton Council will hold its regular meeting Monday in the parish hall at St Joseph’s-St Mark’s Catholic Church at 7 p.m. The church is across the street from City Hall at 112 S. 1st St.

During the meeting, the Council will hear public comment and discussion of possible solutions to allow reopening of the skate park at the city park. Members of the public are invited to bring their ideas to the meeting.

The skate park was closed earlier this month by the Columbia County sheriff after numerous complaints were received from neighbors, and some users, about vandalism and unruly behavior.

Also on the agenda Monday is a presentation by the Dayton Historic Preservation Commission, outlining the final design guidelines for Dayton’s downtown historic district.

At the meeting, the council will also consider purchase of new computer hardware and associated IT services.
