Arrest made in Friday night stabbing

Patrol Officers arrested Ryan Lewis Farr, 30, for the Friday night stabbing of a Walla Walla woman. Officers had been focusing their search for Farr in the area of the 600 block of West Moore Street. During a search of the area, Farr was found hiding in a garage. He was taken into custody without incident Saturday night at around 9:15.

Farr is the only suspect in the brutal stabbing of the woman in the parking lot of the Border Tavern, 604 W. Elm St. The attack took place Friday evening at approximately 8:25 p.m. Farr approached the 47 year old woman in the parking lot, punched her several times in the head and then stabbed her multiple times in the head and upper body. She is being treated for her injuries at a local hospital.

Farr has an extensive criminal history in the Walla Walla Valley.
