WALLA WALLA — A drug raid Friday afternoon ended with two men arrested and suspected methamphetamine seized.

In a release, Officer Tim Bennett, city police spokesman, said the raid occurred about 4:15 p.m. when police served a search warrant at an apartment at 1104 W. Elm St.

Members of the Walla Walla Police Emergency Services Unit forced entry into the apartment and seized a “large amount” of suspected methamphetamine, Bennett said. Bennett declined to specify how much of the drug was seized.

Two men in the residence, Jesus Leyva Lopez, 40, and Bartolo Valenzuela Lopez, 39, taken into custody and booked into Walla Walla County Jail.

Jesus Lopez was arrested for investigation of two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bartolo Lopez, 39 was arrested for investigation of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
