WALLA WALLA — Mountain Heart, an acoustic string band that has been synonymous with cutting-edge excellence in acoustic music circles since 1999, will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Power House Theatre.

Mountain Heart is known for redefining the boundaries of acoustic music. The band has gained loyal fans both as a result of their musicianship and their live performances.
Mountain Heart and members of the band have either won or been nominated for Grammys, ACMs, CMAs and multiple IBMA awards.
They have appeared on the Grand Ole Opry stage more than 125 times and have shared the stage with acts ranging from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Montgomery Gentry, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Brad Paisley, Alison Krauss, Tony Rice, The Avett Brothers, Yonder Mountain Stringband, Levon Helm, John Fogerty and Patty Loveless.
Mountain Heart band members are Josh Shilling, vocals and guitar; Jim Van Cleve, fiddle; Barry Abernathy, banjo; Jason Moore, bass; Aaron Ramsey, mandolin and dobro; and Seth Taylor, guitar.
