Joe Jacobs, director of Walla Walla’s Small Business Development Center, may be settling into a new office at the Walla Walla Regional Airport terminal building this week. But he’s also apparently got his mind on the road.
Starting Friday, Jacobs will dedicate one day each month to helping new and existing business owners in Dayton, according to an announcement from the Dayton Chamber of Commerce. He will set up space in the Chamber office, 166 E. Main St., and offer his in-depth, no-cost business advising service the last Friday of every month.
Jacobs, whose Walla Walla office recently relocated from the Port of Walla Walla’s administrative office to the airport, offers training through seminars, workshops and conferences. He also has access to free research and is trained and prepared to help business operators on everything from startup and social media to licensing and franchising. Areas of coverage also include buying and selling businesses, compliance, customer service, disaster planning, eCommerce, management, growth strategies, training resources and more.
