KENNEWICK — The Southridge Suns scorched the Wa-Hi Blue Devils’ volleyball team 25-9, 25-15, 22-25 and 25-14 in Mid-Columbia Conference action here Thursday.

The Blue Devils (0-8 league) met a “young team, but that was very disciplined in the Suns,” Wa-Hi coach Kim McDaniels said.

“Southridge doesn’t have any real outstanding players but they all play together well.”

Madeline Jacobson was a leader on the court in the losing effort for the Blue Devils with 16 digs and 12 kills.

Kassidy Willard exerted herself for 10 digs and Katie Greene set up 15 assists. Jessie Shives smacked five kills.

“It was really a competition tonight of who could keep the ball in play,” McDaniels said. “And who could make fewer errors while trying to finish.”

The Blue Devils play Tuesday at Hanford at 7 p.m.
