Touchet falls in four to LaCrosse-Washtucna

WASHTUCNA — Touchet picked up an opening-set victory over LaCrosse-Washtucna here Thursday night, but ended up dropping the Southeast 1B match.

LaCrosse-Washtucna took the match 18-25, 25-14, 25-23, 25-14.

“It was a tough battle tonight,” Indians coach April Miller said. “The girls played with a lot of heart. We were showing our youth a bit in some of our errors, and we need to get our serves in.

“Overall, though, we are headed in the right direction. But we must move forward and sharpen up.”

Kristen Warner had eight kills and 10 digs for the Indians, CierraJo McKeown had 11 assists and three aces, and Rachel Miller picked up three blocks.

Touchet, now 0-2 in SE1B and 1-6 overall, head to Palouse to take on Garfield-Palouse Tuesday.
