Wolves sweep Multnomah in three sets

COLLEGE PLACE — The Walla Walla University Wolves’ volleyball team completed the clean sweep of Multnomah University, 25-14, 25-16 and 25-22, here Thursday.

The Wolves racked eight team blocks to zero by their competitors and had 23 kills to just 19 for Multnomah.

The top individual attacker for the Wolves was Emily Yip with nine kills and two blocks.

WWU’s Courtney Zaro added 14 assists and seven service aces.

Kelsie Schafer and Zaro also contributed four kills apiece.

Walla Walla University’s Kathryn Dobkins and Brooklynn Larson had two service aces each.

Three Multnomah players had eighth kills each, including Malia Pearson, Whitney Bickley and Christina Thompson.

Multnomah’s Maimona Shaifr had 15 assists.

Walla Walla plays again Monday at home against Walla Walla Community Coll
