WALLA WALLA — The Little Theatre of Walla Walla, 1130 E. Sumach St. will hold auditions for parts in “The Foreigner,” a two-act comedy by Larry Shue. The play will be directed by Carol Anselmo and Al Chang.

The auditions will be 7 p.m. on April 9-10 at the theater. There are parts for five men and two women, ranging in age from 15 to 80.

Performances will be May 31, June 1, 7-8, 14-15 and a matinee June 9.

The scene is a fishing lodge in rural Georgia often visited by “Froggy” LeSeuer, a British demolition expert, who brings his friend, a pathologically shy young man named Charlie.

Charlie is overcome with fear at the thought of making conversation with strangers, so “Froggy” tells the other guests that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and speaks no English.

Once alone, the fun really begins, as Charlie overhears more than he should.
