Magician, aerialist at Gesa theater May 4

WALLA WALLA — Tickets are on sale for “A One-Night Spectacular,” which will be performed at 8 p.m. May 4 by mentalist-magician Professor Phelyx and aerialist and circus performer Tanya Burka at Gesa Power House Theatre, 111 N. Sixth Ave.

Professor Phelyx, a mentalist magician offers everything from sleight-of-hand to sleight-of-mind in his performances.

He is known for his uncanny ability to read the minds of audience members. There is clearly an influence of circus, Vaudeville and other by-gone eras of live entertainment in his show.

His signature effect is bending stainless steel forks, spoons, keys and coins in open air, with an audience that is oftentimes less than two feet from him.

The 5-foot 10-inch Burka is a graduate of Montreal’s National Circus School.

She is currently touring with Cirque du Soleil Quidam, performing the “Aerial Contortion in Silk” act and has performed across North America and Asia for live stage and TV productions.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $20-25 and are available online at or by calling 509-529-6500.
