Monte Burt Cady Sr., 74, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at his home in Rathdrum, Idaho.

He was born to Virgil Monte and Grace Burt Cady on June 24, 1938, in Missoula, Mont. Monte grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska, and graduated from Lathrop High School in 1956. He attended the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (UAF) where he met and married Barbara Ann Sawey Cady on April 7, 1960. They had 10 children.
