Flying Trout Wines will be celebrating its new releases this weekend.

The winery will open at its historic Windrow Vineyard on Friday and Saturday for the release of three wines during Cayuse Weekend.

Live music, bites from the pizza oven and s’mores by the bonfire will make up the festivities — along with the wines — Saturday.

Flying Trout will release its 2011 Torrontes, 2010 Brook Blend and the Konnowac Vineyard Old Vines Malbec.

The vineyard will be open to the public Friday from noon to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 52015 Seven Hills Road, Milton-Freewater. The winery produces small lots of wine in Walla Walla, as well as in Mendoza, Argentina, under winemaker Ashley Trout.

In addition to Flying Trout’s wines, a selection from TERO Estates will also be poured at the free event.

The two wineries also operate tasting rooms at the Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center, where releases will be poured throughout the weekend. A $5 tasting free is refundable with purchase.
