Resident of 200 block of South Eighth Avenue reported a wrought iron table stolen from carport sometime from Tuesday to Thursday.
No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle, side-impact collision at the intersection of Second Avenue and Alder Street on Thursday at 2:27 p.m. One driver was cited.
A counterfeit $100 bill was detected by an employee of Moneytree, 495 N. Wilbur Ave., on Thursday afternoon. Three suspects were identified.
Walla Walla County
A pair of Fisher speakers valued at $100 was taken from a shed at the 100 block of Apple Lane sometime between Tuesday and Thursday. The resident also reported that his mobile home had been rifled through but no items taken.
A resident living at the 1100 block of Southeast Broadway Avenue reported waking up at 5:43 a.m. today to find an unknown male in his house standing in the bedroom. The male resident chased the man out the back door. The suspect jumped the fence and ran into the alley.
Four cases of graffiti were reported to city police. Two locations were at the 100 block of West Broadway, one at the 200 block of N. Main Street and one at North Main and Canal streets.
Report of a Ford truck in an irrigation ditch on Highway 332 and Prunedale Road.
Resident at the 53700 block of West Crockett Road reported his vehicle was entered on Tuesday night and CDs, an owner’s manual and vehicle documents were taken.
A resident at Stateline and Elliot roads reported seeing a cougar near Birch Creek on Thursday evening.
A burglary in progress was reported at the 54800 block of Highway 204 on Thursday at 7:58 p.m. The reporting party told dispatchers his father could not get out of the house. Weston and Athena police were called in to assist Umatilla County deputies in the call. Arrested in connection with the incident was Kevin R. Daugherty. He was being held for investigation of burglary, criminal trespass, possession of burglary tool and other charges.
