Two men were caught and detained by a resident of the 600 block of West Alder during an attempted theft. Walla Walla police arrested the men on investigation of misdemeanor vehicle prowl.
An employee of the Post Office reported a vandalism occurred Friday overnight. Sugar was put in the gas tank of a Grumman mail truck.
A 9 mm pistol, two bikes and several other items were taken during a burglary at the 600 block of North Roosevelt Street Thursday 9-2:30 a.m.
A vehicle chase occurred Saturday 12:22 a.m. in vicinity of Isaacs Avenue and Touchet Street. The suspect fled on foot and led police on a chase through local streets and alleys, with the suspect running through a yard at one point. The suspect was not apprehended.
A Walla Walla man in a wheelchair was struck while crossing Main Street at Spokane on Saturday around 2 p.m. Michael Moore, 60, was treated at Providence St. Mary Medical Center. The driver of the vehicle was Kelly Emerson, 36, of Bend, Ore.
A vehicle struck and crashed through the local Wesley United Methodist Church, 816 S. Main St., Saturday around 2 a.m. The crash left a large hole in the church’s Lamb Room. Milton-Freewater police were unavailable for questions on the cause, driver or other details.
Incidences of graffiti were reported at Nature Garden Florists & Gifts, 101 W. Broadway; the fence at North Main and Canal streets; 200 block of North Main Street; and the Post Office, 109 W. Broadway.
