WALLA WALLA — A man accused of robbing his ex-girlfriend last month is set for trial May 9 and 10 in Walla Walla County Superior Court.
Marcial Tiscareno Jr., 24, pleaded innocent Monday afternoon to the charge of first-degree robbery — domestic violence.
Police claim Tiscareno went to the apartment of Nicole O’Neel in the 1500 block of West Rose Street on March 13. An argument ensued, and he allegedly grabbed her purse and took out money.
Tiscareno and O’Neel started struggling, during which Tiscareno kicked O’Neel in her right thigh, according to a police report filed in court.
Tiscareno allegedly left with about $450, but O’Neel phoned dispatch and pursued him while carrying her infant child.
“When he realized the police were en route, he threw the money back in her face,” the police report says.
They then reportedly struggled over the money a second time, with O’Neel trying to fend him off by kicking at him before he ran away.
Tiscareno, of 608 N.E. Fifth Ave., Milton-Freewater, was arrested by Walla Walla police March 25 during a traffic stop.
He was booked into the Walla Walla County Jail, with bail later set at $25,000.
