Emergency Services - 4/10/13


Information is compiled by the Union-Bulletin staff from the official logs and records of area law enforcement and emergency service agencies. By law, victims of crimes may request through law enforcement agencies that their names not be released to the media. Theft and vandalism reports were filed Tuesday and today unless otherwise noted.

Walla Walla

Police cited a 22-year-old woman for having an open alcohol container in her vehicle, and a 20-year-old woman for minor in possession of alcohol after conducting a traffic stop related to a report of a hit-and-run collision.

A 15-year-old Lincoln High School girl was reported as a runaway. She was found and transported to the Juvenile Justice Center.

Graffiti reported on a Housing Authority fence.

Walla Walla County

A toilet and sink were reportedly stolen from a house listed for sale. Other items were also reportedly strewn about the house.

An 83-year old man was taken to a local hospital for evaluation after he allegedly slapped his 85-year-old wife and accused her of having an affair. No injuries were reported.

A Tyson Foods employee reported his iPhone 5 was stolen from the men’s bathroom.

Mail tampering reported.

A motorist reported the front windshield of his vehicle was smashed while parked at Boise Cascade Trucking.

A farmer reported his tractor, left in the Gerking Road area, was damaged when someone attempted to break into the cab.

A sheep-owner on Blue Creek Road reported that a neighbor’s dog was chasing his livestock. The man reportedly showed Sheriff’s Office deputies video of his son attempting to shoot the blue heeler with a .30-30 caliber rifle.


A go-kart was reported stolen on South First Street.

Vandalism reported on South Third Street.


Report of burglary and items stolen from a garage on Carpenter Road.

Umatilla County

A man reported his aunt’s car was stolen after she moved to a nursing home. The vehicle was parked on Chuckhole Lane near Milton-Freewater, and is a yellow and white Ford LTD with a broken tail light.

A motorist failed to pay for $20 in fuel at a gas staion on Highway 11 near Milton-Freewater.


WW Police

Janelle L. Locato, 40, 1031 N. Clinton, Tuesday. Charge: investigation of felony violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.
