Pomeroy School District board members are Ed Sullivan, Lorri Flynn, Teri Mayfield, Bart Gingerich and Paul Ruark. With all present, the board:
AWARDS: Received and read a letter from state Senator Mark Schoesler (R-Ritzville) congratulating the district on winning two Washington State Achievement awards, for a high progress elementary school and a high extended graduation rate for the Jr./Sr. high school.
SUPERINTENDENT: Discussed administrative structure and search process for the superintendent/K-12 administrator position. Applications are due Friday, and the board will hold a special meeting in executive session on Monday, April 15 a 6 p.m. to decide which candidates will be interviewed.
STAFF: Hired a paraprofessional teacher to work part-time with special education student.
LUNCH PRICES: Discussed school lunch prices, which will be raised for the 2013-14 school year. The district will set prices over the summer using a worksheet from the state.
