Grace Christian Center offers biblical foundation course

WALLA WALLA — Grace Christian Center, 49 Wallula Ave., Suite A, will begin an intensive 12-week Bible course, entitled, Biblical Foundations for Building Strong Disciples, this week.

The class will meet 6:30-8 p.m. each Monday at the church.

Cost of the book is $7. Registration is required.

Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe to perform in Kennewick

KENNEWICK — Christian worship artists Chris Tomlin and Kari Jobe will perform at 7 p.m. April 21 at Toyota Center in Kennewick as part of Tomlin’s “Burning Lights” tour.

Tomlin is known for as “How Great Is Our God,” “Holy Is the Lord” and “Jesus Messiah.” He will do his signature songs and work from his album, Burning Lights.

Tomlin has had 10 hit singles, four Grammy nominations, 18 Dove awards, one platinum and two gold albums.

St. James Episcopal Church to precent Cello Favorites

MILTON-FREEWATER — Principal cellist Edward Dixon will perform Cello Favorites at St. James Episcopal Church, 719 Pierce St., at 7:30 p.m. May 3.

This free concert is a fundraiser for the Breadbasket in Milton Freewater. Donations will be asked.

Dixon is principal cellist for the Walla Walla Symphony and the Mid-Columbia Symphony.

He has also been guest conductor of the Oregon East Symphony, the Mid Columbia Symphony and the Walla Walla Symphony.

Dixon will perform classical and light classical selections including “The First Suite for Solo Cello” by J. S. Bach.

Coffee, tea, and cookies will be served in the Parish Hall afterwards.

Historic St. James Church is two blocks west of City Hall.

Pioneer United Methodist plans antique, collectible sale

WALLA WALLA — Pioneer United Methodist Church, 209 E. Birch St. will hold its third annual Antique and Collectible Sale, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. April 26 and April 27.

Furniture, clocks, silver, quilts, china, glassware, tools and more have been gathered for this multi-estate sale.

Proceeds will go to local charities. For more information call 509-525-1870.
