Longtime area resident, Diana Elaine Peters, 63, passed away April
11, 2013, at Walla Walla General Hospital.
Diana was born November 11, 1949, in Burlington, Colorado, to
Harvey L. and Amanda Weis Hull. In high school, she played badminton
and belonged to the hiking program, especially enjoying hiking Mt.
Lemon. She graduated from AMPHI High School, Tucson, Arizona.
She moved to this area in 1968, marrying Melvin M. Peters that
year here in Walla Walla. She worked as Manager of the Farm Labor
Camp for 20 years and in Receiving at WalMart for 12 years, where she
had many friends with whom she worked, retiring November, 2012.
She liked to travel in their motor home, fishing, rock-hounding, being
outdoors and riding horses. She loved to help her grandson, Neil, with
his homework, especially math.
Diana is survived by her husband, Melvin, at their home; two sons
and daughters-in-law, Julius H. and Judy Peters of Smelterville, Idaho
and George L. and Jessica Peters of Milton-Freewater, Oregon; her
mother, Amanda Hull of Tucson; two brothers: Dwayne Hull of Tucson
and Leroy Hull of Alaska; three grandchildren: Neil Peters of Milton-
Freewater; Orville Peters and Nicolette Peters, both of Idaho; and one
great-granddaughter, Katy Kulasee of College Place, Washington. She
was preceded in death by her father, and one brother, Ronny Hull.
At her request there will be no service. Arrangements have been
entrusted to Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military
Road, Walla Walla, Washington.
