Touchet pillages Pirates, 10-4, 13-1

TOUCHET — Touchet High School downed Southeast 1B baseball foe Pomeroy, 10-4 and 13-1, here Saturday.

Jose Martinez and Connor McKeown smacked four hits for Touchet in the twin bill. Elias Martinez and Colter McKeown contributed to the Indians’ attack with three hits apiece.

Octavio Preciado, Corey Ochoa and Damian Goucher split up the pitching duties in the doubleheader.

The trio gave up only six hits and five runs in 12 innings of work.

“We’re starting to swing the bat and the pitchers are settling in,” Touchet coach Tim McKeown said. “It’s making a big difference for us. I though they (pitchers) did a really good job and it’s great to have a couple of league wins under our belts. It hink the more we get our pitchers involved and the more the more innings they get the better off we’ll be.

“We’ve just got to keep improving and doing a good job.”
