WALLA WALLA — Rain and cold failed to dampen the will of a crowd of about 80 people Monday who turned out for a Walla Walla Tea Party Patriots Tax Day Rally at the Walla Walla County Courthouse on Main Street.
Addressing the group was keynote speaker Shahram Hadian, a pastor who ran for governor in 2012. Hadian, who grew up as a Muslim, became a Christian after his family immigrated from Iran when he was 7, spoke on the threat radical Islam poses to the United States. He also said the the United States needs to return to its founding principles and spoke of what people can do to engage government and effect change.
This was the fourth annual Tax Day Rally held by the Walla Walla Tea Party Patriots.
