WALLA WALLA — Emilio Meraz’s goal, with an assist from Orlando Diaz, lifted Pasco to a 2-1 Mid-Columbia Conference overtime boys soccer victory over Wa-Hi here Tuesday afternoon.
Meraz’s goal came seven minutes into the overtime session after a scoreless second half.
The Bulldogs drew first blood on Hector Magana’s goal, assisted by Juan Magana, eight minutes into the match.
And Wa-Hi’s Francisco Sanchez countered unassisted at the 30-minute mark to knot the game at 1-1.
Each team had eight shots on goal, with Pasco’s Jon Roses credited with seven stops and Wa-Hi’s Mason Aherns deflecting six Bulldog attempts.
The Blue Devils return to action Saturday at 1 p.m. when they take on Southridge in Kennewick.
