PRESCOTT — Prescott School Board will hold a special public meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. to present its leading candidate for superintendent.
Brett Cox, the current assistant principal at Garrison Middle School in Walla Walla, will be present for a meet-and-greet in the Prescott Library.
Cox was selected as the board’s top candidate after three finalists were interviewed.
“The board liked how he builds relationships with people,” said Superintendent Bill Jordan, who is retiring.
Following the meet-and-greet, the board will hold a closed executive session to discuss Cox’s qualifications.
Jordan said he was unsure whether the board planned to take action and hire Cox after the executive session.
