COLLEGE PLACE — Police arrested a 20-year-old woman this morning on investigation of second-degree robbery after she allegedly attacked another woman in her car near Lyons Park and took her cellphone.

Breanne N. Rutherford was booked at the Walla Walla County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.

According to court documents, the incident began when Tasha Knopf, 21, received a call from a friend Tuesday night requesting help because Rutherford had allegedly pointed a handgun at her. When Knopf arrived at Lyons Park, Rutherford reportedly assaulted her while Knopf was still in her vehicle, according to police.

Knopf said Rutherford then took her cellphone, according to the court documents. Police responded at about 11 p.m. and reported Knopf had injuries that may have resulted from an assault.

An investigation is continuing.
