Vintage campers turned mobile shops Saturday in Milton-Freewater

The Walla Walla Valley’s two newest mobile vendors will roll onto Milton-Freewater’s Fifth Avenue for a grand opening this weekend.

Wayfarer Boutique and Xochi Mobile Boutique will set up shop in their respective campers Saturday at 127 N.E. Fifth Ave., across from the Milton-Freewater Community Building. The doors will be open 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

The two are the latest to join the community of retail stores operating inside refashioned vintage campers. The shops operate at various locations throughout the community and region.

Wayfarer, owned by Keri Martin, specializes in home decor, fine linens and gourmet food. The business operates inside a 15-foot 1967 Sport King Camper.

Xochi Mobile Boutique operates in a 1968 Kit Camper and specializes in Mexican folk art items, textiles from Mexico and accessories and jewelry.
