Tractor-trailers on Rose Street need many lanes

Living near Rose Street, I have hardly ever seen a cyclist using any part of the street. There is an excellent path along Rose Street already.

The big trees are about the only place in town where one can drive westbound in the shade on a hot day. To say the trees are a visibility hazard is a joke. Because, if so, the hazard would have been fixed long ago.

Semi-trailer trucks use Rose Street going to the cold storage plant and need many lanes while turning on and off Rose Street.

Repaving Rose Street will be great. But it is foolish and a waste of money for the city to remove lanes. City officials should remember, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.”

The money saved could be used to fix the many chuckholes and rough areas of the streets.
