Waitsburg-Prescott baseball sweeps St.John-Endicott in Southeast 2B


ENDICOTT, Wash. — The Waitsburg-Prescott baseball team swept away St.John-Endicott in a twin bill, 14-0 and 19-2, here Saturday in Southeast 2B action.

W-P (9-3, 5-1 league) pounded out 24 hits in the doubleheader.

W-P’s Dalton Estes pitched a two-hit, complete game shutout in game one, striking out eight.

Chance Leroue threw a five-inning gem in game two, striking out six and giving up two runs on one hit.

“Everybody hit the ball real well today,” W-P coach Dustin Snedigar said. “Not a lot of strikeouts at the plate and it was good to see our bats bounce back from last game.”

W-P plays a doubleheader Tuesday at Dayton at 3 p.m.
