A celebrity chef will be making a special appearance at the Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center next month.
Maneet Chauhan, chef and featured judge on the Food Network’s “Chopped,” will partner with the Marcus Whitman’s executive chef, Antonio Campolio, for a one-night-only dinner event May 10.
The stop in Walla Walla is part of a 20-plus city tour for Chauhan, who is promoting her new cookbook, “Flavors of My World: A Culinary Tour Through 25 Countries.” She co-authored the book with Doug Singer, who is also touring with her.
The May event will include a specialty cocktail, three-course dinner with select wine pairings and a signed copy of the cookbook for each attendee. Tickets are $95 each.
Chauhan and Campolio will partner on the dining experience, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
Chauhan’s style is described as “global fusion” with roots in Indian cuisine. She began her culinary career in India. She attended the Culinary Institute of American in New York and later opened restaurants in Chicago and New York.
