Theft and vandalism reports were filed Wednesday and today unless otherwise noted.

Walla Walla

Two vehicle collision on Alder Street and Wilbur Avenue. No injuries reported.

Non-injury single-vehicle collision. The motorist reported to police his vehicle “surged forward” as he was attempting to park near South First Avenue and Newell Street. The vehicle jumped over the stop-block, ran through a chain link fence and wound up high-centered over a retaining wall. The man said the car “surged” in the past, but mechanics could not find the problem.

A yard path light reported stolen from the 400 block of East Cherry Street.

A man allegedly shoplifted a $12.99 bottle of liquor from Safeway at 1600 Plaza Way.

Officers arrested two men on warrants after responding to a report of a man with a gun running around. The man in question was looking for a 4-year-old child who had momentarily disappeared. No weapons were found.

Walla Walla County

Joey A. Crooke was lodged into Walla Walla County Jail for two felony warrants from Umatilla County after Pasco police stopped a car he was riding in.

Deputies arrested a 19-year-old woman on suspicion of fourth-degree assault after she allegedly attacked her boyfriend at his home. The boyfriend reluctantly told police she accused him of cheating after reading his text messages, and then tried to grab a knife, which he took away. The woman then allegedly resorted to using a piece of 2-by-4 lumber and a can of body spray.

Forced entry burglary reported in the 000 block of Hussey Street. Nothing apparently stolen.

College Place

Vehicle prowl reported in the 100 block of West Whitman Drive.

Bicycle reported stolen in the 200 block of North College Avenue.

An iPod and cell phone reportedly stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Southeast Third Street.

A car tuning and monitoring device and sunglasses reported stolen from vehicle in the 200 block of Southeast First Street.


Dead calfs reported on Harting Grade Road. Deputies found no livestock when they investigated.

Attempted burglary at Roosters Brew for the second time in a week. No access made, nothing stolen.


A Steen Road resident reported her English bulldog named Rip was missing.

Residential burglary reported on Southwest First Avenue. Electronics and other items reported stolen.

Umatilla County

A Weston-area man reported his neighbor threatened him during a dispute about sheep pasturing habits.
