Walla Walla

A suicide of a military veteran was reported at the Washington National Guard Walla Walla Armory, 113 S. Colville St., Thursday at 1:50 p.m. The body was found in a section of the basement.

Walla Walla County

A man who eluded Department of Corrections officers serving a warrant on April 19 was apprehended during a routine stop by deputies. Jason G. Barnes, 28, was found Thursday when deputies checked on a broken down van on Highway 124 near Prescott.

At around 1 a.m. Thursday, deputies contacted a homeowner at the 1200 block of Lowden-Gardena Road to have him round up six black cows that had broken through the fence and were roaming on his neighbor’s property, eating on tree boughs.

College Place

A two-vehicle, non-injury collision was reported at SE Meadowbrook Boulevard and SE Lamperti Lane Thursday 1:54 p.m.

A bicycle theft was reported at 200 block of SW First Street Thursday 5 p.m.

Milton-Freewater

The Rotary Sports Complex concession stand was broken into and several items were taken.

WW Police

Terry Eugene Bickford, 61, 2337 Heritage Road. Charge: Investigation of driving under the influence.

WW County Sheriff

Jason Gene Barnes, 28, 1010 SE Birch St., College Place. Charge: Investigation of providing false information to a public servant and a Department of Corrections warrant.
