Plans continue to heat up for an organized culinary tour of New Orleans.
The Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce will host an event Monday to share details about a cross-country trek to the Louisiana city that’s open to the community. Monday’s party promises a little taste of what’s to come on the six-day tour led by Walla Walla chef Andrae Bopp.
Cajun appetizers will be the evening’s fare at DaMa Wines, 51 E. Main St. Wines from DaMa will also be poured.
The culinary trip will take participants to the heart of the French Quarter.
The round-trip tour includes air fare, hotel, foodie tours, a meal on the Creole Queen, mutiple deep-South dining experiences, a cooking class and shopping for dinner that’s cooked with Bopp. The cost is under $2,000 double occupancy. For more details, call the Chamber at 525-0850.
