Gar-Pal hands Pomeroy twin bill losses


GARFIELD — Pomeroy High School’s softball team struggled to a pair if Southeast 1B losses against Garfield-Palouse Saturday, losing 12-2 and 10-0, both in five innings.

The Pirates committed 11 errors and walked 26 batters in the losses.

“We have a really young team that has shown improvement since the beginning of the season,” Pomeroy coach Jessica Nelson said. “With a little more experience, we will get better.”

Pomeroy (0-6 1B, 2-10 overall) plays again against Tri-City Prep Tuesday in Pasco at 2 p.m. for two games.
