James F. Weimer, 72, died April 20, 2013. He was born in Spokane to Fred J. Weimer and Idaann Weimer. He graduated from Pomeroy High in 1959 and attended College of Washington in Pullman.
Jim was in the U.S. Army from November 1961 to November 1964. His decorations included Marksman - Missile, Good Conduct Medal and Expert - Rifle. He married Lenore “Bullet” Weimer Jan. 4, 1979, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
James purchased and operated the Green Lantern in 1970 and met so many wonderful people over the years. It was the best time of his life. He sold the “Green” in 1990 and moved to Laughlin, Nev., for four exciting years, eventually moving back to the Walla Walla area and enjoying a life of retirement.
Jim loved hot rods, boats and anything else pertaining to speed. He especially enjoyed golf during his free-time. Jim and “Bullet” really enjoyed traveling and accomplished this during their younger years together.
Survivors included Lenore “Bullet” Weimer, Bradley D. Manson and sons Jesse and Elijah Manson, Sandra Goings, Warren Syth, niece, Lori Hopson, Jerry and Judy Marsh. Preceded in death by parents; and brother-in-law, Phil Goings.
Jimmy, I will miss you forever and always, you are absolutely the love of my life; I could not have asked for anything more, Bullet.
