COLLEGE PLACE — The College Place School Board will meet Tuesday to consider hiring a principal for the new College Place High School.
The board has scheduled an executive session from 7-8 p.m. at the district’s board room, 1755 S. College Ave., above the Sager Middle School gym.
The board will then hold a regular public meeting to consider hiring the new principal.
The board is choosing from two top candidates, both from Walla Walla Public Schools.
One is Kirk Jameson, the district’s career and technical education director, director of assessment and technology and Skills Center planning director. Jameson was also an assistant principal at Walla Walla High School.
The other is Dan Calzaretta, Explorers Program instructor at Pioneer Middle School. Calzaretta ran the private Palouse Community School in Walla Walla for three years, and established the Pacific Crest Community School in Portland in 1993.
The new College Place High School is scheduled to welcome its first freshman class in 2014-15.
