Buckaroos take care of Pioneers girls netters

MILTON-FREEWATER — McLoughlin High School’s girls tennis team hosted Pendleton Monday, falling 6-0 to the Buckaroos.

“Even though we didn’t win a single match, the girls played great,” Pioneers coach Michelle Snyder said.

In singles play, Mac-Hi’s Estefania Lamas fell to Bailey Bucleu, 6-3, 6-1; Mackenzie Fite lost to Miranda Mullen, 6-0, 6-4; and Tasha Marshall was defeated by Alma Larios, 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles play, Pioneers Kassidy Harris and Kaylee Davis lost to Buckaroos Karen Hampton and Keziah Hampton, 6-3, 6-1; Taleah Wilson and Daynis Garcia fell to Sam Bucleu and Kadysha Reyes, 6-0, 6-1; and Giselle Flores and Maria Castillo were defeated by Bailey Goold and Heather James, 6-1, 6-3.

Mac-Hi hosts Riverside at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
