DeLores Mae Morris, 83, of Dallas, Ore., died April 22, 2013. She was born on Oct. 11, 1929, in Leavenworth, Wash., to Emil and Rose Schneider.
For a few of her early years the family lived in South America, where her parents were missionaries. She married William “Bill” Morris on June 8, 1951, and they settled in Milton-Freewater, where they raised their family. She was a homemaker most of her life, though she did serve as a cook at the local schools for a few years. She enjoyed macrame, ceramics and being with people. She was an active member of the Milton Freewater Assembly of God, where she played the piano.
When her husband retired they enjoyed traveling. One trip included visiting 22 states and 10,000 miles with their RV. Her faith in Jesus, which she learned from her parents, she leaves for her children.
She is survived by her husband, Bill of Dallas; their sons, Bill (Shirley), Brian (Hanell), both of Dallas, Bruce (Donita) of Las Vegas, and Brad (Donna) of Walla Walla. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Funeral service will be on Friday, May 3, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Valley Life Center, with visitation at the church prior to the service. Private inurnment will be at the Willamette National Cemetery.
