WALLA WALLA — This year’s Washington American Legion Class AA State Baseball Tournament received its share of acclaim from coaches, players and American Legion Baseball officials, according to tournament officials.
Among those sharing rave reviews was Bill Baker, Senior Commissioner for Area 4 American Legion Baseball.
“I want to thank the Walla Walla baseball family for getting us through it,” Baker said. “I want to thank Brian and Stacy for helping to get the organization rallied around supporting the tournament.”
The chances that state American Legion Baseball action will return to Walla Walla in the near future are promising, Baker said.
“Stacy has already said that Walla Walla wants to host (the AA tournament) in four years,” Baker said. “When I go to a fall commissioner’s meeting, I will recommend Walla Walla for the 2017 AA tournament.”
Baker noted that he will also recommend Walla Walla as a possible site for the Class A state tournament in 2015.
