Queen, King of the Undead sought for benefit in Tri-Cities


KENNEWICK — Organizers of the annual Zombie Ball fundraiser for the Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired are hunting for a King and Queen of the Undead for the event.

The King and Queen must be available for several appearances leading up to the ball, as well as attend the ball on Oct. 12.

The application form for the contest is at edithbishelcenter.org/events.html. Entry into the contest is free.

The contest to decide the zombie royalty will be 3 p.m. Sept. 14 at Kennewick Ranch & Home on Columbia Center Boulevard. Contestants must be dressed in zombie attire.

Tickets for the Zombie Ball go on sale at TRAC and Kennewick Ranch & Home on Sept 3.

This is a family-friendly event. General admission will be $16 per person.

Frenzy admission, which includes hair and makeup design by zombie experts, is $30. Zombies 11 and under are $5.
