WALLA WALLA — Immigrant rights group OneAmerica will hold a public information meeting Saturday in the city to answer questions about the immigration reform process.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Center at the Park, 720 Sprague St., across from Super 1 Foods.
The group will explain the political process required to pass immigration reform and provide information about how people can advocate for a reform bill. The group will also educate immigrants about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program, which allows some immigrants who came to the U.S. illegally as children to apply for a two-year deferral of deportation and a work permit.
The event will be translated into Spanish.
