CRIMINAL CASES

Michael B.D. Duquette, 19, 1601 Pleasant St., was charged Aug. 7 with second-degree robbery. Duquette is accused of unlawfully taking $455 in cash from a person by use or threatened use of force, violence or fear of injury on Aug. 6.

Richard G. Briley, 39, complete address unavailable, was charged Aug. 9 with second-degree assault — domestic violence. Briley is accused of intentionally assaulting a person on Aug. 7.

JUVENILE CASES

Christopher J. Wilkinson, 16, 912 Stadium Drive, was sentenced Aug. 2 on one count contempt of court. The sentence included 20 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, credit for 15 days served, six months community supervision, 20 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs. On July 10 Wilkinson pleaded guilty to intentionally disobeying a lawful court order dated March 20 requiring a student to attend school, between March 20 and May 15.

Travis Crockett, 15, Prescott, was sentenced Aug. 2 on one count third-degree assault. The sentence included 20 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, credit for five days served, nine months community supervision, 20 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs, restitution to be determined. On July 19 Crockett pleaded guilty to with criminal negligence causing substantial pain for an extended period of time and bodily harm to another by punching the person in the face, breaking a tooth and causing a cut lip on May 19.

Brenda Fernandez, 16, 1331 W. Pine St., was sentenced Aug. 2 on one count third-degree malicious mischief. The sentence included 20 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, credit for 14 days served, nine months community supervision, 20 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs, restitution of $420. On July 19 Fernandez pleaded guilty to writing graffiti on the walls of the rest rooms in Washington Park, damage not exceeding $750, on April 11.

Destiney K. Wall, 17, Dayton, was sentenced Aug. 2 on three counts third-degree theft and two counts minor in possession or consumption of liquor. The sentence included 25 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, credit for three days served, 10 months community supervision, 25 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs, restitution to be determined. On July 26 Wall pleaded guilty to wrongfully obtaining alcohol from Rose St. Safeway of a value not exceeding $750 on June 28, July 1 and July 2; and possessed liquor while under the age of 21 on June 1 and June 2.

Raul Melgar, 15, 482 Ninth Ave., was sentenced Aug. 2 on one count each violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act and minor in possession or consuming liquor, and third-degree theft. The sentence included 40 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, credit for 29 days served, 12 months community supervision, 30 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs. On July 19 Melgar pleaded guilty to possession of less than 30 grams marijuana; unlawful possession of alcohol while under age 21; and taking property valued at less than $750 from Safeway with intent to keep the property and not pay for it, all on June 13.
